2021 Wedding Trends

Today on the blog we’re piggy backing off a wonderful read that brides.com posted about 2021 wedding trends (read here: https://www.brides.com/wedding-flower-trends-5104931). From earth tones to elaborate aisle decor, we are here for these trends and excited to share with Bloomin’ readers the ways we’ve incorporated some of these in weddings past.

1. Non traditional color palettes.

This is potentially our favorite trend! While classic white blooms will always have a traditionalist role in wedding decor, we love when a bride breaks away and adds color. Owner Sarah has an insanely gifted eye for pairing colors together throughout an event, so the opportunity to create in color is always something we’re game for! Take a look at this glorious “shades of peach” bouquet we created for bride Lila:

2. Whimsical Focal Blooms

Peonies, Roses and Dahlias have been our bride’s favorite “go-to” specialty blooms for their bouquets in the past but lately we’re getting more and more requests for smaller, textural blooms like Sweet Pea, Astilbe and Hellebores. These specialty blooms may be petite in size but they have the same impact in a bride’s bouquet as a peony or rose while giving a more garden-like, whimsical feel.

3. Unique Textures

For a bride seeking textures outside of fresh blooms, we encourage them to consider dried flowers. All the rage in 2021, dried flowers not only add textural dimension they also add the perfect color variation needed to complete a palette. From Pampas grass to dried leaves and thistle there are so many options for the bride looking to add a little funk to her bouquet, not to mention dried product lasts forever!

4. Lush Tablescapes

Adding that “wow” factor is every bride’s top priority when considering reception decor and a lush tablescape always does the trick. What most brides don’t know is that a lush tablescape doesn’t have to mean an expensive one. Often times we repurpose bridesmaids bouquets and other ceremony decor to add that wow factor without the additional expense and we think it’s always a stunning option!

5. Garden Style Ceremonies

Last on our list of trends, but certainly not least, is garden style ceremony decor. 2021 brides are excited about lush greenery and garden textures surrounding them and their groom while exchanging vows. Magical and romantic, this style set up is just as easy to accomplish as the traditional wedding arbor! Simply thinking outside the box by creating asymmetrical designs or putting florals low on the ground can accomplish this look no matter if the bride is seeking something elaborate or minimal.
