Sara + Danny

Back in late July, Sara + Danny exchanged vows at Summerour Studio surrounded by close friends, family and lots of greenery. Their minimalist, Mediterranean vibe accomplished elegance and impact while being a fun design challenge for our team. Textures like Olive and Lavender made arrangements aromatic and suspended greenery provided exciting focal points throughout the event. Our favorite detail though? The hanging piece over the head table made with Edison bulbs by the groom for his proposal to his wife! Take a look below for our favorite photos of Sara + Danny’s beautiful day.

Bouts for the Boys

Often a small (but never overlooked) detail, the boutonnière, is an important piece to the wedding style puzzle. Pairing all the perfect tiny details together can help carry a bride’s vision throughout her wedding party and create a romantic matching floral echo to her bouquet. However, the Groom and Groomsmen boutonnières are usually one of the last details brides think about when explaining their floral vision. We’re always happy to help guide their choices, but knowing what your partner wants pinned to their lapel is a special gesture that we take great pride in helping execute. Today we’re offering some boutonnière inspiration for all you brides out there wondering what might look best! Scroll through below to find some of our favorite detail shots of the small, but mighty, boutonnière.

Bring on the Bridesmaids

As Spring starts to bloom here in Georgia we’re feeling inspired by color! Over the years we’ve been very fortunate working with brides who embrace color throughout their wedding decor. One of our favorite things to design are the bridesmaids bouquets; working alongside the bride creating the perfect complimenting color combination to match their dresses. It’s always where the event’s primary palette is most present and we’re always obsessed with the results! Here are a few examples of bridesmaids dress/bouquet duets past that have left us swooning.

Bride Katie opted for a multi-color look amongst her maids and we think it was the perfect combination! For bouquets we stuck with a textural, neutral base adding pops of colors from this wedding party palette  using flowers like Rose Amnesia and Cappuccino.

Bride Abby decided to go with a light pink color for her bridesmaids and we paired them with soft peachy bouquets. For this palette we used flowers like O’Hara Garden Roses, Salmon Ranunculus and Peach Stock which also smelled as beautiful as they looked. We couldn’t resist using this “first look” photo of them, so cute!!

Bride Lila also went with peachy bouquets, but in a more vibrant peach vs. soft peach kind of way. Paired with these toasted mauve dresses, we used flowers like peach Dahlia, pink Astilbe and Butterfly Ranunculus to create these colorful bouquets. Pair with some hand-dyed silk ribbon and you have gorgeously perfect peach girl power!

Bride Rachel went with this beautiful shade of blue for her wedding party and we loved pairing it with sage greenery, lots of texture and pops of bright Juliet Roses. We think this end result is the perfect garden-y summer inspiration!

Here bride Madeline paired her light Mauve maids gowns with shades of blush, ivory and the slightest pop of Cappuccino Roses to keep the palette airy for a fall afternoon at Summerour Studio. We loved the whimsical style of these bouquets and the way they complimented Rachel’s large garden bouquet in both color and shape.

Bride Frances embraced fall colors throughout her bridesmaids dresses with shades of golden yellow, burgundy and dark peach. Pairing these dresses with dark red flowers like Dahlia and Ranunculus really brought out the beautiful fall sunset and made this color palette one of our seasonal favorites!

Last, but certainly not least, we have bride Megan and the gorgeous embroidered bridesmaids dresses she selected for her girls. The soft gray-blue color of the skirt paired perfectly with lavender, so for these bouquets we stuck mostly to bright whites while adding subtle touches of purple with Freesia and Rose Amnesia. We absolutely loved this romantic Spring combination!
