Simply driving into
the beautiful mountain town of Highlands, North Carolina, makes you instantly
realize why so many couples are selecting it as their wedding destination. Like
these couples, Emily and Joe fell in love with the town’s charm and chose TheFarm at Old Edwards Inn as their perfect venue.
The big day was orchestrated
by Stefanie Dunn of The Wedding Box Events. The couple said their vows on the
lawn under a white arbor adorned with moss crosses, grapevine and seeded
eucalyptus. The doors to the cottage that Emily and her father exited from were
ornamented with moss-covered “E” and “J” letters.
Emily carried a large
bouquet of David Austin roses (Rose Patience), double white freesia, white polo
roses and tiny bit of brunia silver spray sprinkled throughout. The bouquet was wrapped with satin ribbon and
over-wrapped with Joe’s christening
cap.
The bridesmaids
carried bouquets of amnesia roses, white spray roses, double white freesia and
brunia silver spray tied with sheer silver ribbon. The groom and groomsmen wore boutonnieres
with white spray rose buds, fiddle head fern and brunia silver spray on a galax
leaf wrapped with black tape.
After the ceremony,
guests made their way over to the pavilion for cocktails, dinner and dancing.
Emily and Joe added special touches to their reception with framed photos of
their individual family trees, hundreds of candles, striped drinking straws
with flags attached and a favor tree with support bracelets and information on
a charity they hold dear.
After the The Atlanta
Pleasure Band had belted out their final tune for the night, Emily and Joe
departed with a sparkler send-off. It was a perfect evening and Bloomin’Bouquets enjoyed every minute of this beautiful mountain-top soiree!
