The Not Wedding Inspiration Shoot ft Kait Murphy Photography

Here is a re-blog from one of our photographer friends, Kait Murphy. Check out her blog and photos from our shoot for The Not Wedding below!

The Not Wedding Inspiration Shoot (written by Kait Murphy)

We were lucky enough to shoot at sunrise on a beautiful Spring (!) morning, and aside from my embarrassing fear of birds intensified by the large duck population at Piedmont Park that morning - it was an absolute dream to shoot Kelsey and Taylor. They are such a beautiful couple and we could all really see how truly in love they are as they kissed at sunrise, danced at the gazebo, and splashed their feet off the dock. We can't wait for their upcoming wedding!

We look forward to seeing everyone on April 4th at the 2nd Not Wedding in Athens! Lookout for our upcoming feature on Style Me Pretty to see more details from the shoot!
Thanks to our wonderful vendors who helped make this shoot so gorgeous!

- Bags: Veeshee Bags

Opportunity Knocks

In any business, when opportunities come along, you must seize the day - especially in the whirlwind of the wedding world! So when the occasion arose to fill in for a florist at a Bridal Show last minute, Bloomin’ Bouquets was at the ready for another adventure. We were lucky enough to have “friendors” (friends, who also happen to be vendors for events such as weddings), A Big To Do Event, at the Bridal Show who asked us to take part and showcase our talents. It was an exciting opportunity to show new brides-to-be what Bloomin’ Bouquets is designing in the studio.

During our exciting day on display at the show, we ran into one of our favorite wedding photographers, Julie Neil.  When Julie mentioned she was on the way to an engagement shoot at the end of the event, we offered our bouquet from the day for the photographs. She said sure! -- Another opportunity presenting itself! She was able to bring one of our beautiful bouquets along for the shoot, and we had the opportunity to be featured in the endearing engagement pictures of a beautiful couple.  Win-win!  For Bloomin’ Bouquets, opportunity is knocking on all doors… and we’re ready to answer.

Tying the (Celtic) Knot

With the last names of O’Brien and O’Shields, it’s no wonder that Susan’s and Joe’s Inman Park wedding included nods to their Irish heritage. They opted for décor, flowers and clover-green clad bridesmaids to compliment their Irish theme.

The pair wed at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Decatur and then hopped aboard a trolley headed to The Trolley Barn in Inman Park for the reception.

Bloomin’ Bouquets created the bridal party flowers and reception venue arrangements with bells of Ireland, clover, white and purple hydrangeas, white and light purple calla lilies, amnesia roses, white stock and stargazer lilies.

After their fun-filled Irish fete, the newlyweds departed for their honeymoon to where else, but Ireland.

Winter Wonderland

The long-standing superstition of rain being good luck on the wedding day was excellent news for couple Renee and Kris. It stormed the entire morning and seemed as though it would never let up. Amazingly the moment the church doors opened for Renee to walk down the aisle, the sun began streaming through the arched windows. It was one of those perfect moments and made for a very special ceremony.

The wedding took place at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church. Renee and Kris made the day very personal by reciting their own heartfelt vows and making thoughtful speeches for their family and friends.

The reception followed inside the church and Bloomin’ Bouquets created an incredible winter wonderland theme using white roses, white hydrangeas, silver brunia, crystals, glittery pine cones, mercury glass votives and an abundance of candles. To “winterize” the bouquets, Bloomin’ Bouquets inserted “ice sticks” in them and bundled them in a sparkly silver wrap.

After all of the celebrating, Renee and Kris received a bubble sendoff from their guests. They climbed into a vintage Roll Royce and didn’t stop until they got to Texas!
