2015 Color of the Year: Marsala

“Marsala enriches our mind, body, and soul, exuding confidence and stability. Marsala is a subtly seductive shade, one that draws us into its embracing warmth.”
–Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director for Pantone Color Institute

Pantone, the king of color, released the color of the year as Marsala. While this may be a stark difference from last years color, Radiant Orchid, and while you may think it to only be associated with fall and winter weddings, Marsala is by far one of the most versatile wedding colors. You might recognize Marsala most when it comes to wedding flowers through peonies, dahlias and ranunculus that grow naturally in this earthy hue evoking a romantic elegance. It works wonderfully as a base color for your wedding when complimented with neutral tones like ivory and blush. However, it can also be paired with bright corals and orange hues for a spring to summer vibe. We of course, love it paired with any and all kinds of greenery. Take a look for yourself on how gorgeous this color really is!
